"Customers can't book" and "customers can book times I'm not there" are the two most common problems in Styler, and they nearly always come down to the same handful of settings.
Work through this in order. It's arranged by how often each one turns out to be the cause.
Nothing is bookable at all
1. Is the staff member assigned to the service tier?
This is the most common cause by a distance.
A service tier is only bookable with the staff assigned to it. If nobody is assigned, nothing shows as available โ with no error and no warning.
Go to Services, open the service, and check Tier Staff on each tier. See services, categories and tiers.
๐ Especially likely if you've recently added someone new, or someone has left.
2. Does the staff member have working hours?
No schedule means no availability. Go to Staff โ Working Hours and check they have a schedule covering the dates in question โ and that it hasn't ended.
3. Are online bookings switched on?
Settings โ Bookings โ Preferences. Check Online Bookings reads Enabled.
It's easy to turn off for a busy week and forget. See how do I disable bookings?
4. Is the service bookable online, and at that location?
On the service, check Booking Enabled is on and that the right Locations are selected. A service not assigned to a location can't be booked there.
Also check the staff member is assigned to that location.
Some times are missing, but not all
5. Minimum Lead Time
If today and tomorrow look empty but next week is fine, this is usually it. Settings โ Bookings โ Preferences โ Minimum Lead Time blocks bookings starting sooner than the period you've set.
6. Booking Window
If distant dates are unbookable, your Booking Window caps how far ahead customers can book. Anything beyond it won't appear.
7. Closed dates and amended hours
Check Staff โ Working Hours for the dates concerned. A day may be marked CLOSED, HOLIDAY or NOT WORKING, or have amended hours narrower than usual.
8. Slot Frequency
If the times on offer look oddly spaced, Slot Frequency controls the intervals โ 15 minutes gives 9:00, 9:15, 9:30 and so on.
Customers can book times I'm not available
Usually the reverse of the above: a schedule that's wider than reality.
Check the working hours actually match when people work. A schedule set up once and never revisited is the usual culprit.
For a one-off, use Edit hours or Staff not working on that day rather than changing the whole schedule.
For a whole day, use Close business; for longer, Settings โ Closed Dates.
๐ Changing working hours never moves existing bookings. If you cut someone's hours, check the calendar for appointments now sitting outside them.
The Working Hours grid won't load
If you're told there may be a schedule conflict, two schedules for the same person at the same location are overlapping.
Click the staff member's name and look for Conflicting Schedules at the top of the list. Fix or delete one and the grid loads again.
A course isn't bookable
Different checklist:
Is it Published? Courses are unpublished by default.
Is Booking access set to Open to all customers rather than Invite only?
Has it reached capacity?
The quickest test
Open your own booking widget and try to book as a customer would. Go to Settings โ Booking Widget โ Details and click Open in the Status card.
๐ก It takes thirty seconds and tells you exactly what customers see, which is usually faster than reasoning about it from the Hub.
Still stuck?
Contact your Styler Consultant or email [email protected]. Tell us the service, the staff member, the date and time a customer is trying to book โ that lets us reproduce it immediately instead of asking you three more questions.
