Every setting in the Hub, and where to find it ⚙️

A map of the Settings menu — what each section does, which ones you'll actually need, and why some are missing for you.

Settings is where nearly every "where do I change…?" question ends up. This is a map of it — click Settings in the side menu.

You won't see all of it. Sections appear based on your plan and your permissions, so your menu may be shorter than what's described here. That's normal.

Bookings

The settings that decide how and when customers can book. If something about availability looks wrong, the answer is usually here.

Preferences

Whether online bookings are on, how far ahead people can book, how much notice you need, and how the time slots are spaced. The most useful page in Settings.

T&Cs

The terms customers accept before they book online. Write them yourself, or draft them with AI from your booking settings — see your booking T&Cs.

Revenue Protection

Late cancellation fees and no-show fees. Deposits aren't here — they're set on each service tier.

Wait List

How the wait list behaves when you're fully booked. On Basic and Pro, the wait list comes with Pro.

💡 If customers say they can't book, start with PreferencesOnline Bookings, Minimum Lead Time and Booking Window between them explain most cases.

Business

Who you are, where you are, and when you're open.

Locations

Your sites. Add, edit and set which staff and services belong to each.

Payments

How money is handled for bookings.

Settings

Your business profile — see below.

Schedules (Legacy)

An old feature kept for long-standing partners. 👀 See the warning below.

Closed Dates

Bank holidays, refurbishments, anything that shuts a location for a day or more.

Emails

The emails Styler sends your customers — and the copies of booking notifications sent to your business email address.

Your business profile

Settings → Business → Settings holds the details that appear to customers and drive how Styler behaves:

  • Business name and bio — what customers see on your booking page.

  • Address — unit, street, city, county, postcode and country.

  • Currency, Language and Timezone.

  • Email, contact number, website and Instagram.

👀 Timezone is the one to get right. Availability, your calendar, when reminders go out and the date ranges on your reports are all worked out in your business's timezone. If everything looks shifted by a consistent number of hours, this is why.

👀 Currency isn't cosmetic either. It's the currency you'll actually be charging in, so check it before you take your first payment.

👀 About "Schedules (Legacy)"

The name is honest — it's carried over from the previous version of the Hub for partners who already relied on it. If you're a newer partner, don't use it. Staff working hours are the modern equivalent.

It isn't harmless, though. It controls which days of the week your business operates at all, and it sits above everything else — switch a day off there and nobody can be booked that day, whatever your staff hours say. Styler sets it up with all seven days enabled when your account is created, so the right move is to leave it alone.

Booking Widget

Details — your booking link, how the widget looks, and how to embed it on your website. This is where you find the link to share with customers.

💡 There's an Open button on the Status card. It shows you your booking page exactly as a customer sees it, which is the fastest way to check whether a change worked.

Staff

Accounts

Create Hub logins for your staff, switch them on or off, and set each person's permission level.

Permissions

What each role can see and do.

👀 You'll only see these if your own role can manage permissions. It's the setting that controls access to every other setting, so it's deliberately restricted.

Hub

Appearance

Colours and branding for the Hub itself — what your team sees, not your customers.

Notifications

Whether you hear about new bookings, cancellations and booking updates. Three switches, and they are yours alone — each person sets their own.

💡 Worth separating these two in your head: Hub → Notifications is what you personally receive about your own bookings — it affects nobody else's inbox, and covers the Styler Hub app notifications as well as email. Business → Emails is what your customers receive.

Integrations

Stripe

Connect Stripe so you can take deposits and charge no-show and late cancellation fees. If your account is ever closed or disconnected, this is where you'll see Reconnect Stripe. See getting paid.

Instagram

Show your Instagram feed in your customer app. On Basic and Pro, this comes with Pro.

👀 If you take deposits or charge no-show or late cancellation fees, check the Stripe page from time to time. An unfinished or disconnected Stripe account stops customers being able to book, and nothing tells you.

App

Only relevant if your plan includes a branded customer app — Pro, or one of our earlier App plans. If your app hasn't been built yet, these pages tell you when it will be.

Status

Where your app is up to, and whether it's live.

Push Notifications

Send a message to everyone with your app installed.

Preferences

Which features appear in your app — products and the wait list — and how customers can contact you from it: email, call or SMS.

Courses

Preferences — defaults for classes and courses. Only worth visiting if you run them.

Why can't I see a section?

Two reasons, and they're easy to tell apart.

  • Your permissions. If a colleague can see it and you can't, it's your role. Ask whoever administers your Hub.

  • Your plan. If nobody at your business can see it, it isn't included on your plan. On Basic, Pro features show an Upgrade to Pro screen when you open them, and you can upgrade from there or from Billing — see your plan. On one of our earlier plans, speak to your Styler Consultant.

💡 Most of the Settings menu needs the settings permission. Closed Dates and Schedules (Legacy) need the dates permission instead — so it's possible to have one and not the other.
