Working with multiple locations πŸ“

Adding a second site, what's shared between locations and what isn't, and the assignments that decide where anything is bookable.

If you operate from more than one site, Styler handles them as separate locations under one account β€” one Hub, one customer list, one subscription.

Adding a location

  1. Open the side menu and click Settings.

  2. Under Business, click Business Locations.

  3. Add the new one.

Each location has its own:

  • Location name and full address.

  • Contact details β€” email and phone.

  • Localisation β€” currency, language and timezone.

πŸ‘€ Timezone is per location. If you operate across timezones, set each one correctly β€” bookings, reminders and reports all depend on it, and getting it wrong is awkward to unpick later.

What's shared, and what isn't

Shared across all locations

Set per location

Your customer list

Opening hours and closed dates

Your services and price list

Which services are offered

Your staff records

Which staff work there

Booking preferences

Staff schedules

Your subscription and billing

Address, contact details, timezone

πŸ’‘ One customer list across every site is the point. Someone who normally visits your city branch and books the suburban one is the same customer, with the same history β€” no duplicate records, and their spend counts once.

The three assignments that matter

Most multi-location problems come down to one of these being missed. Something is only bookable at a location if all three line up:

  1. The service is assigned to that location β€” set on the service's Locations field.

  2. The staff member is assigned to that location.

  3. The staff member has a schedule at that location β€” schedules belong to a location, so someone working at two sites needs a schedule at each.

πŸ‘€ A schedule's location can't be changed after it's created. To move someone between sites, end their current schedule and create a new one at the other location.

Switching between locations

You work in one location at a time. Switch from the header on the Calendar and the Working Hours grid β€” your choice is remembered.

πŸ‘€ The calendar shows one location at a time. There's no combined view, so "a booking has disappeared" is usually just the wrong location selected.

Reports can be filtered by location, so you can look at one site or the business as a whole β€” see using Reports.

Staff and locations

Staff see their own working locations by default. Seeing all locations, and adding or editing them, are separate permissions β€” so a branch manager can run their own site without touching the others.

FAQs

❓ Can one person work at two locations?

  • Yes. Assign them to both and give them a schedule at each. The schedules can be completely different.

❓ Can I charge different prices at different sites?

  • Pricing sits on the service tier, which is shared. For genuinely different pricing, create separate services assigned to the relevant locations.

❓ Do customers choose a location when booking?

  • Yes β€” they pick the site, then see availability for staff and services offered there.

❓ Closing one location for a day.

❓ Does each location need its own Stripe account?

  • No. Stripe connects at business level and covers every location.
