The gallery is where you show your work inside your Business App. Open the side menu and click Gallery.
💡 This is the most under-used feature in most Business Apps. Customers open your app to book, see the same screen every time, and never have a reason to look again. A gallery that changes gives them one.
Adding an image
Click Add Image.
Upload the photo.
Add a Caption.
Under Visibility, choose whether it appears on your App Home Screen.
💡 Shoot in good light against an uncluttered background. One genuinely good photo does more than five average ones — and unlike social media, these sit in your app indefinitely.
Linking images to what you offer
This is the part that turns a gallery into a sales tool. An image can be linked to:
A staff member
A service
A product
💡 Link the photo to the thing it shows. A customer admiring a balayage can go straight from the picture to booking that service, or to the stylist who did it. Without a link they have to work out what they're looking at and find it themselves — and most won't bother.
The app home screen
Gallery images can feature on your App Home Screen — the first thing customers see when they open your app.
👀 The App Home Screen switch only works on a plan that includes a branded app — Pro, or one of our earlier App plans. On Basic it's greyed out.
💡 Refresh it periodically. An app showing the same four photos it launched with looks abandoned. Swapping in recent work — seasonally, or whenever you do something you're proud of — makes the app feel current.
Visibility
The only visibility setting is the App Home Screen switch. Turn it off to take an image off your home screen while keeping it in your gallery — useful for seasonal work you'll want back, or a photo of a style you no longer offer.
FAQs
❓ How many images can I add?
There's no small limit — the list pages with Load more as it grows. Curate rather than upload everything; a tight gallery of your best work sells better than an archive.
❓ Do I need permission to post photos of customers?
Yes. A photo of someone's hair, nails or face is their personal data, and publishing it in your app needs their agreement. Ask, and keep a note of who said yes. "They were in the chair when I took it" is not consent.
❓ Is the gallery the same as my Instagram feed?
No, they're separate. The gallery is curated by you and stays put; your Instagram feed shows recent posts automatically. Many businesses use both — see connecting your Instagram account.
❓ My image won't upload.
Usually file size. Photos straight from a modern phone can be very large — resize before uploading if it's struggling.
