How do I Connect my Instagram Account?

Connecting your Instagram feed to your Business App — and what to do if it stops updating.

If you have your own Business App, connecting your Instagram account keeps it looking current. Your latest posts appear in the app, so customers see recent work rather than whatever was there on launch day.

Connecting your account

  1. Sign in to the Styler Hub.

  2. Go to Settings, then under Integrations click Instagram.

  3. Click Connect.

  4. You'll be sent to Instagram to log in.

  5. Sign in to your business Instagram account and approve access.

Your feed then syncs to your app automatically.

👀 Check which account you're logged into first. If your browser is already signed in to a personal account, that's the one that gets connected. Open Instagram in the same browser and confirm before you start — it's the most common thing to get wrong.

👀 It needs to be a business or creator account. Personal Instagram accounts can't be connected.

If your feed stops updating

This is the question worth knowing the answer to.

Instagram access doesn't last forever — it has to be renewed periodically. Styler renews it for you automatically in the background, so under normal circumstances you'll never think about it.

But if that renewal fails, the connection is dropped. Your app keeps working perfectly well; the Instagram feed simply stops updating, showing whatever was last synced.

👀 You won't be notified when this happens. There's no alert and no error — the feed just goes stale. So if your app is showing posts from weeks ago, this is almost certainly why.

Reconnecting

Go back to Settings → Integrations → Instagram and click Connect again. That's the whole fix.

Renewal usually fails for one of these reasons:

  • You changed your Instagram password.

  • Styler's access was removed in Instagram's own app permissions.

  • The account was switched from business or creator back to personal.

  • The account was deactivated or renamed.

💡 If you change your Instagram password, reconnect afterwards. Thirty seconds then saves you noticing a stale feed a month later.

FAQs

How often does my feed update?

  • It syncs automatically — you don't need to do anything after connecting.

Can I choose which posts appear?

  • No. The app shows your recent posts as they are on Instagram. If you don't want something in your app, don't post it to the connected account.

Can I connect more than one account?

  • One account per app. Connecting a different one replaces the current connection.

Does disconnecting affect my Instagram?

  • Not at all. It only stops the feed appearing in your app — your posts, followers and account are untouched.
